Management by Exception
Offering a range of different ‘out of the box’ reporting options MultiDSLA helps you see quickly and efficiently how the network is performing. Web-based graphical reporting with user-selected measurements shows how quality varies over time and differs between groups of end-points. All reports include a drill-down facility, allowing you to navigate from the management reporting level to detailed analysis of problematic calls within a couple of clicks.
SLA Management using Alarms and Alerts
SLA management is made easy with the ability to set-up multiple alarms based on specific parameters, end-users and/or number of times alerting conditions are breached. Alerts can be configured to watch test results and the test-system’s health. Offering alarms based on complex scenarios, MultiDSLA gives you confidence that your network is operating at an acceptable level and, if it isn’t, that you will be the first to know.
MultiDSLA is a self-contained system which can be used to view alarms and reports to see how your network is performing. However, many NOC already have a wide variety of performance monitoring tools and MultiDSLA can be integrated into one of these other systems to provide a more holistic view. Alarms generated within MultiDSLA can be configured to generate emails or SNMP traps for feeding into an overarching OSS. Hyperlinks can be created within the OSS which when activated can take an operations engineer directly to a specific report of the problem.
Call Setup Analysis
When running an Active Monitoring test network to measure speech quality performance, you also gain insight into your customers’ experience of call setup. MultiDSLA includes tools to analyse the call setup experience of a user, as well as drilling down into VoIP and ISDN call signalling issues with the integrated call trace facilities.
VoIP Network Testing to Industry Standards
MultiDSLA provides Industry Standard measurement techniques for defining speech quality; these include ITU-T P.863 POLQA, ITU-T P.862, P.862.1 and P.862.2 PESQ, ITU-R BS.1116 PEAQ, ITU-T P.861 PSQM and PAMS. Whether your customers demand the latest standard, or whether you need to test next generation HD-Voice services, MultiDSLA has the appropriate industry standard ready.
Automated Test Scenarios
Test scenarios are easily configured for automating the starting a series of tests in a single action. MultiDSLA helps you to group together a series of tests over multiple end-points to provide comprehensive testing of the entire network or focus on specific customers or platforms.
Flexible Test Scripting
Flexibility introduced by the user-definable test scripting means that MultiDSLA can be used to test even the most complex requirements. This flexibility means you can use MultiDSLA to test all your voice solutions, including but not limited to POTS, conference calls, voicemail, DTMF or voice triggered IVR systems.
User accounts allow different users to log in separately. Planned tests for all users will execute in the background. Reporting can then be based on any user or all users allowing segregation of results based on the user’s specific area of interest. Different levels of authority can be set for different users. Some users can be given rights to allow full control of the system with others being provided more limited control to only run tests or review reports.
Depth of Analysis
Malden was one of the first companies to integrate objective voice quality into a test tool. While many products now include speech quality measurement, we are regularly told by our customers that only MultiDSLA allows them to really look into what causes a particular MOS.
Many access options
We provide access to 2-wire 600 Ohm, 2-wire complex impedance, balanced 600 Ohm, balanced high impedance and handset analogue access options (these are all on our main hardware device). We also provide SIP, ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI, E1 and T1 interface options. MultiDSLA was designed to make testing between any 2 interfaces as simple as joining two dots.
